Our Story

I Charles, began composing and performing in the mid 1960s founding a group called the Natty Bumpo along with a good friend. We recorded on the Mercury label and I worked briefly for their publishing house MRC music as a song writer. During this time I also played Jazz on my soprano sax. The Natty Bumpo played opposite Jimmy Hendrix and The Beach Boys among others. As an arranger I worked in studio on a date with the Miles Davis rhythm section of that period.                                                                                                                                                    About that time I met my future wife Mary Adams who was a folk singer and we teamed up to make the music that continues to this day. The most important change in our journey was receiving Jesus Christ in 1969. This of course affected what we composed and wrote from then on. Mary and I together with our friends formed the Prince of Peace Band or Chuck and Mary and friends and made 4 albums.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      In the 1990's I was able to build a small project studio from which all the rest of our music was generated. You will notice, as you listen, I have composed in a number of genres. We have a four CD project we call Classical Glass in that it features the Glass Armonium created by Benjamin Franklin. Each of these CDs is based on a geographical story line found in the liner notes. Examples are Veniitian Glass, Cathedral of the Deep, The Bells of Alboran and From an Antique land. We have two jazz oriented CDs, one with vocals and one instrumental. The present examples are Love is the Wind and The Defining Moment. Cross Genre is another category including 2 CDs, Sarcastic Cafe and A Trip to Gibraltar. They include a wide variety of material. Princess Caliatra is a musical story, drama also found on this site.                                                                                                                                                                                                    The majority of the rest of our CDs are worship oriented projects beginning with Little Child in 1975 the most current being Blind as Your Servant.. I have written much poetry over the years which is noticeable (I am told) in the lyrics. Finally we are not distributing our music with the hope of becoming rich, having already observed the corruption in the music industry but for your enjoyment and for the Glory of God.
